P2P Hearts & Chess

The games in Vista a pretty nice. It would be even cooler if Chess and Hearts took advantage of Windows Communication Foundation to allow for P2P games. Imagine I'm at the airport with a colleague and we're both on our Vista laptops and play a game of chess over WiFi. That'd be pretty cool. BTW I never used the internet games on Windows. I'd rather play with someone I know and besides that seems like a hassle when the person I want to play with is sitting right across (or next) to me.

LOL - some good suggestions you have there. I'll submit them as suggestions and see if Vista beta team get back to me on that. I'd love a game of Wireless Chess :op

This is something users have been requesting ever since the LAN functions of a lot of the games were dropped.
It needs to be implemented, there's usually a post every month in the xp.games group asking why they can't play Hearts etc over their network etc. The P2P is idea even cooler. 8-)
Delay Vista to 2007 if you have to, just get in these critical features. 8-)

LMAO as if microsoft would need to delay the entire os for an extra year just to implement lan enabled windows games.

Someone left their sense of humour in bed this morning me thinks.
Sure it's not critical, but it would put a smile on all those people's faces who as they upgraded to Windows XP felt they were robbed of a feature they use a lot.
Plus it would be a good demo of the WCF.

of course! it'd be pretty disappointing (even though personally I do not and probably would not play them so much, but in the sense of "completeness") if none of the included games were internet-playable, let alone not bringing the XP games back :(
In any case, including a version of Go would be nice, multiplayable or not :)

its a good idea, but it would take a day or two at most to do, I find it hilarious that you would suggest microsoft take another year just for that.
